Restaurants in the city are offering elaborate multi-course menus for enjoying in their elegant dining rooms or in the comfort of your home.

With Canadian Thanksgiving just around the corner on October 9th, if you're anything like me and prefer to savor the holiday without the hassle of cooking, you're in luck. Here are four restaurants that provide a range of options for Thanksgiving dinner, whether you'd like to dine in or take it to go.

Pier 7 has the patio to visit if you want to feel like you’re on vacation. There is something therapeutic about seeing only the ocean stretch out before you. The unobstructed views of Vancouver’s downtown skyline are spectacular, and Pier 7’s food and drinks meet the high bar set by their location.

These restaurants offer “delicious food, beautiful views, and above all, incredible outdoor dining experiences,” says the online reservation platform.

We loved all of Chef Garett’s dishes and enjoyed the bold flavors and creative use of fresh, local ingredients. I loved the spring pea and lemon risotto with the halibut. The tagliatelle was super delicious and very hearty. Of course, the ambiance is hard to beat with the gorgeous waterfront setting. Pier 7 is a great choice for any occasion.

PIER 7 sits on the boardwalk of historic Shipyard Square at Lonsdale Quay. Crowds come for 180-degree waterfront views through its floor-to-ceiling windows and breezy patios with views that stretch out to Stanley Park. The boat-to-table menu is equally enticing, featuring a signature seafood tower with poached lobster tail and wild red prawns, plus tuna poke and Dungeness crab. If you’re not here for seafood, consider PIER 7’s top-notch burgers, steaks, and pastas (including tagliatelle with braised bison). Show up on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evening for live music on the upper deck.
